Building Our Log Home

Logwood Farms construction has taken us over 10 years because we have done ALL the work ourselves. We bought our log home kit from a company based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania after visiting their model in Mebane, NC. Initially, we only worked on weekends and it took three months for us to get it dried in. Since then, we have worked at a leisurely pace, tackling one project at a time. Sometimes we’d work for a year straight, then get burnt out and not do a thing for a year. But it has come together and we are almost there. When we look back at all we have done, and the trials and tribulations we have endured, we are extremely pleased with the home we built and the life we have here. This is now our home. Think that Dick was concerned that a Yankee from NY would LOVE living in the country so much!
