Our drive around the outer ring of Olympic Park took us through vast forests of evergreen trees and rain forests. On a
rotation basis every fifty years, sections of the forest are cut down and re-planted. Signs identified when the forest was cut
down, when it was re-planted, and when the next harvest would occur. Logging is the major industry in this part of the
country; we saw many logging trucks hauling cut down trees and the beaches were full of old fallen down trees.
